Abstract
An study about the influenza epidemic in 1918 at Ourense, foccussing primarly on the social and sanitary organization given by the Ourense's society. It was one of the most important demographic and sociosanitary crisis in the first one third of twentieth century at Ourense. A brief biographic approach to some of the professionals involved and a history about the articulation of the Ourense's Physicians college in this period is made. One little hospital (Pabellon Sanitario de Marihamanasa) was edificated some years later in order to prevent future hospitalizations in infectious epidemic crisis.
