Abstract
The only way of comunication between the different departments in a hospital nowadays are the interdepartment consultations (IC), which make possible a better sanitary assistance. We confirm that most of the IC we receive in our service are due to otologic problems and that is why we consider interesting to analize them. There are too many IC about patients who suffer long term pathologies, in similar proportion of those who suffer acute diseases. It is surprising the small number of IC asking for audiometric tests in patients treated with ototoxic drugs in a third level hospital like ours.
