Abstract

In the second of three articles on an inlay approach to fixed prosthesis retention, we describe the general design of the gold or gold-resin fixed pontics to be retained, together with that of the key element of the system, semi-rigid interlock connectors designed specifically for each individual patient. The material of choice for restoration of edentulate posterior sectors, or when space is limited, is gold, if the patient is willing.
