Abstract
The development of the professional activity in Clinical Psychology demands the identification of the theoretical approaches where the daily practices are included, as well as the control and assessment of the outcomes according to current standards of assistance quality. We want to establish confluences and differences among several treatment approaches, the goals of the interventions and whether such goals are fullfilled. A preliminary study on Semantic Fields with psychotherapists assigned to four approcahes (Psychoanalysis, Psychodrama, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Systemic Therapy), discussing on topics in the professional practice, is intended to produce dimensions to classify the professionals, their work and their treatments, and to allow for the identification of variábels liábel of control and the selection of instruments valid for such control in the pre- post-treatment comparisons on the patients’ symptomatology. We intend to describe the psychotherapeutical processes, with no alteration of the natural conditions in their implementation, and to find whether the results are related to the described processes. This requires a complex rigurous methodology, adapted to the goals.
