Resumo

Is described the phenomenon of “Sunburn Art”, a fashion that emerged in the United States, which consists in suntan the body by covering various areas with devices or suns blockers, to form figures and marks on the skin, giving rise to the socalled “suntattoos”, or “art created with sunburn”. The health professionals must inform people that their practice is a dangerous and risky technique for health, because it encourages the development of injuries derived from exposure to the sun without adequate protection, thus increasing the risk of skin cancer, among other alterations photodermatosis.
