Abstract

INTRODUCCTION: After almost a decade since the establishment of children´s Dental Care Plan in Andalusia (PADIA), which covers children between 6 and 15 years old, it is important to consider possible improvements in this public program to increase users’ satisfaction. The aim of this article is to propose measures to improve these provisions through the users’opinions. METHODS: We conducted a nominal group technique in Jaen city, with de experts (n=8) being a representative sample of parents users. The issue raised at the meeting was: “Suggestions for improving Free Dental Care in PADIA. “The phases of this technique were: 1. generation of ideas, 2. Statement and explanation 3. Discussion and fusion of ideas, 4. Prioritization by voting, 5. Results. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS:The priority ideas were: 1. Finance part of the orthodontic treatments, 2. possibility of changing specialist in the same year, 3. Increase the age group, 4. Improve monitoring mechanisms for PADI dentists, 5. Replace the TADA for a health card.
