Abstract
Objective: To assess the risk for pressure ulcers (PU) in hospitalized patients in units of internal medicine and its relationship with the nursing diagnoses. Methodology: Observational study of prevalence. Valuation through computer application of the Braden scale along with 3 nursing diagnosis. Descriptive analysis of the data. Results: The most prevalent diagnosis self-care and "risk of impact on the integrity of the skin". Conclusions: The diagnosis of Deficit of Self occur most often in patients with and without risk of PU. The presence of the nursing diagnosis "risk of impact on the integrity of the skin" could be considered as an appropriate indicator of valuation.
