Abstract
As introduction we do a review through paranoia's history. We review the contributions of relevant practitioners as: Esquirol, Kraepelin, Kretschmer, Jaspers, Freud, and others. We continue to the paranoia situation in the current clasifications (CIE-10 y DSM-IV-TR). The delirium turns into the only support left to the subject to put up with an unbearable personal situation. Eventually the hospitalization could be necessary. The psychotherapy intend to help the patient to decrease his worries about false beliefs, decrease the social shyness due to the delirious beliefs and to orientate the patient to the reality. It's basic to do so to establish confidence. Finally we exemplify it all in a case.
