Abstract
Parvovirus B19 (PB19) usually affects children and it is usually associated to benign diseases, being the most frequent clinical form the «slapped-cheek» image of the erythema infectiosum (fifth disease). Sometimes it is associated with neurological diseases including encephalitis, meningitis, stroke and peripheral neuropathy and more rarely with behavioral alterations. We report a case of a healthy 10 year-old girl who developed episodes of behavior alterations and seizures after human PB19 infection.
