Soluciones hidroalcohólicas comercializadas durante la pandemia del coronavirus , ¿Son todas igual de efectivas?

To mitigate the potential transmission of the "VID-19 pandemic", health and public health authorities recommend frequent hand sanitization with soap and water and antiseptic disinfection with gels or hydroalcoholic solutions as an alternative or complementary measure when hand washing cannot be performed. Therefore, taking into account the nature of the same, the differences on its effectiveness are evident by its composition and antimicrobial effect; distinguishing between biocides, viricides and cosmetics. What this editorial article raises is the doubt of the useless effectiveness or low impact in the prevention of COVID-19 infection, due to the massive use and variability of gels of a cosmetic nature that we use daily and that do not usually reach the minimum standards of effectiveness, in addition to the dermatological risk involved in mixing different gels and solutions on a continuous basis.
