Abstract
Knowledge of first aid in the general population is essential to know how to act at first in emergency situations. Teachers are often faced with situations at school that require quick first assistance. Workshops were held by health professionals from the Health Center to train teachers in first aid in two schools in Zaragoza during 2018. The four situations assessed were: anaphylaxis, asthma, epilepsy and hypoglycemia. Their knowledge before and after the workshop was assessed. Low knowledge of the four situations analyzed, especially anaphylaxis, was found prior to the workshop. After the workshops, 100% knew the situations, knew how to act and knew how to recognize the triggers. It would be important to include first aid training in the university curriculum so that teachers can train their students.
