Abstract

Ultrasound FAST or Eco FAST (Focused Assessment Sonography for Trauma) or its extension E-FAST, is a tool used, in emergencies, in the polytraumatized patient that improves the evaluation and diagnosis, and also makes this type of patient receive appropriate and early treatment. It is a useful, simple and fast method that allows us to identify the presence of free fluid in the abdomen or thorax. For this reason, continuous training for emergency and emergency specialists in this ultrasonic field is important.
