Abstract
Fractures of the upper extremity of the radius in recent years have become one of the most demanding pathologies in the emergency services, many of which even require hospital admission for surgical intervention. Formerly this type of fractures occurred more in the elderly and in the female sex, but currently this type is fractures are abundant in young adults, many of them due to recreational activities of a physical nature. There are several types of fractures of the extremity of the radius, the most frequent being the Colles Fracture.
