Abstract
The aging population in Galicia is growing, and it does so that is the main challenge we face as a society. Aging is associated with factors such as over-aging, the feminization of the same, and the bias towards coastal areas, which markedly influences the demographic structure of Galicia. Economic impact is minimized but overstates the cultural and equal opportunities for older people. This is a problem of social cohesion within the provinces of Lugo and Ourense, with the rest of the Community.
