Resumo
Introduction: The SCAMPER method is considered as an easy and direct method in the stimulation of creative thinking and resolution of difficulties, and its application in Health Care and Evidence-Based Practices may be useful. Development: SCAMPER encompasses seven techniques, (S) substitute, (C) combine, (A) adapt, (M) modify, (P) put into another use, (E) eliminate and (R) reorganize or reverse, that represent questions that will trigger ingenuity to improve something that already exists, solve a problem or find an opportunity. It has been a very popular method in business management and education. There are few examples in the field of health care. Conclusion: The field of application of SCAMPER is intuited unlimited, making it universal. It proves to be effective due to its practicality, simplicity and flexibility. With regard to Health Care, it is necessary to objectify its possible usefulness as well as its applicability in all dimensions of Nursing.
