Abstract

Introduction: ulcers are considered a health problem of the first order and an indicator (negative) of quality of care. The clinical practice guidelines (CPG) have facilitated the approach; however many CPG are considered low-quality scientific and ethical. The objective is to assess and compare the ethical quality (editorial independence and statement of conflicts of interest) of the clinical practice guidelines on ulcers. Material and methods: descriptive study. Literature search CPG on ulcers vascular and pressure ulcers. Evaluation through the instrument AGREE (criteria 22 and 23) and scale of ethical quality consensual. Results: analyzed 27 GPC, 18 pressure ulcers and 9 vascular ulcers. The 68% the guides were considered ethical quality insufficient. The declaration of conflict of interest was significant (p<0.05) for the variable nationality. Conclusions: the editorial independence (source of funding and statement of conflicts of interest) is one of the paragraphs that we must improve to achieve some CPG of scientific quality recommended, within an ethical approach reasonable.
