Una aproximación a los conocimientos en ética de la investigación clínica de los profesionales sanitarios de un área sanitaria

Abstract

Objective: To estimate in a sample of health professionals the level of theoretical knowledge and learning needs in the field of ethics of clinical research with health data Design: Cross-sectional descriptive observational study Setting: Primary Care and Hospital Care Participants: Health professionals from the Servizo Galego de Saúde attending an advanced training course in Pharmacology at a university hospital between january and june 2019 Interventions: Anonymous self-administered questionnaire of ten questions Main measurements: Theoretical knowledge in the field of ethics of clinical research with health data Results: The number of participants in the course was 58 professionals, of which 35 participated in the study (60.3%). From the evaluation of the responses to the questionnaire, two questions were answered correctly by less than a third of the respondents. The number of questions with more than 66% correct answers was four. From the evaluation of the answers by professional, it is interpreted that 11% of the professionals who completed the questionnaire have a high degree of knowledge in ethics of clinical research with health data Conclusions: Some gaps are detected in the knowledge of ethics of clinical research with health data in a sample of health professionals from a health area of the Servizo Galego de Saúde. It would be convenient to promote aspects related to the ethics of clinical research in the planning of teaching activities, especially in the case of professionals in training
