Resumo

In Spain health information professionals share common interests and activities. However, due to their geographical dispersion and diverse typology, they face difficulties in maintaining cohesion and building relationships.Current challenges, such as the availability of resources, staffing and institutional recognition, require greater cooperation and shared commitment. Although several countries have created collaborative networks and / or associations, Spain does not have a health sciences information professionals’ organization.To present the creation and development of an open and participatory working group to promote cooperation among peers, advocate for the profession, and ensure compliance with good practice and the professional code of ethics.
